Just a few minutes ago, my mom called me letting me know that the Book of Mormom was found on fire at OUR stake center in Denver Colorado!!! WOW!!!!!!! It was found by a family friend and her son! The 1st counselor's wife also happened to be there and she called her husband who is in the stake presidency and they called the police to check it out. The story was covered on Fox news, Denver. My Stake President, and my accompanist were interviewed, yet when I went online the only thing said about the incident was by a non-member...this is what she said,
"Jill Roat says, "The Mormon Church has definitely created some frustration and anger in the community, but it's not a positive outlet and you can't fight hate with hate."
I can't help but feel frustrated with this article, because at the end of the article they pretty much told everyone where there was going to be a protest against Prop 8, and when it would be held! We live in Colorado--we don't have ANYTHING to do with Prop 8 and voting for it, except the fact that we're LDS!!!
Sorry if this is boring for you, I'm sure you are all sick of me talking about politics and issues, but I couldn't help it on this one! OH my gosh! What is going on in the country? It is really just pathetic they are targeting a small percentage of people who voted on the issue.
