Washington D.C.

Yesterday, I went to Washington D.C. with some friends to see the cherry blossom festival!

It was a gorgeous day! 75 degree weather! As we walked around looking for the Cherry blossoms we saw people in paddle boats! It made me want to paddle.

When we finally got to where the cherry blossoms were supposed to be...we only found about 8 trees with flowers on them. A lady said that a lot of the trees weren't in bloom anymore because of a storm that had occured the night before.

(Angela's disappointment when we learned about the storm.)

I LOVE these trees!

(Me, Angela, and Tracy in front of a crab apple tree!)

Because there were only 8 trees to look at, we decided to grab a bite to eat, and go to the zoo because it was free.

This too was disappointing! There were hardly ANY animals out and everytime we did see an animal it would either turn around and go inside, or there would be a huge crowd and you couldn't get through to see.

(I loved this picture because later, in the ape exhibit they had a sign explaining how apes are shy...it seemed a little backwards.)

(A real, live, STORK!)

(A very pretty Marriott Hotel)

Before we left to go home, we decided to drive by the temple. This was the perfect ending to our day!
