The tour was great! We had a tour guide that definitely knew his history, and was able to paint us a clear picture of what downtown Philly looked like in the colonial period. There weren't a ton of ghost stories, but we did get a lot of history that you don't normally hear about.

One of the ghost stories that really creeped me out was about Philadelphia's City Tavern. They used to have a lot of weddings there. One particular wedding they were hosting, a bride went up in flames because an oil lamp was knocked over and caught the place on fire. She and her bridesmaids died. The City Tavern has been reconstructed, and still hosts weddings and receptions there. Some people say that they can see the old bride in their wedding pictures. And a few have said that candles go out right after lighting them because the ghost bride doesn't like fire. SPOOKY!!!
All in all, we had a great time with our friends and it was nice to get out and do something different!

Sounds like fun. But I don't think I would get married there, it's like asking for trouble.
